EATRIS is a partner in the EPF Congress 2021

The COVID-19 pandemic has shown how important digital solutions are for the healthcare world: new technologies can help improve patients’ access to care and digital technologies have the potential for enhancing health literacy and connecting patients more dynamically with their healthcare providers and systems. But technological advancement also comes with a new set of challenges to address, and unprecedented ethical issues to consider.

Following the success of the first Congress held in 2019, EPF will hold a four-day virtual event that will explore the digital transformation of healthcare and reflect on our engagement in EU policies focusing on digital health, and the experience of the COVID-19 pandemic. The objective is to put the spotlight on policy-making initiatives, connecting meaningful patient involvement to one of the headlines priorities of the European Commission – the EU data strategy and European Health Data Space and initiatives on artificial intelligence.

Join us for four days of learning, exploring, testing ideas and co-creating solutions. The EPF Congress 2021 will include a wide audience of patient representatives, policy makers, health systems experts, healthcare profession representatives, academics, regulatory and HTA experts, health insurance providers and industry representatives, from Europe and beyond. This diversity will ensure a rich and dynamic discourse and exchange of ideas.

The event is completely online and free to attend for EPF members, with hundreds expected to exchange on the path forward for integrated digitalised health care.
